Freight Forwarders Make Transportation a Breeze

March 27, 2009

Hi again folks, Edwyn is back again with his caustic insights into the way life ought to be… Well, I’m not mad at anything or any body right now, so that should make for an interestingly and refreshingly calmer kind of post. At least it’ll start out that way. What am I going to rant and rave about today? Well, I’m certainly going to mention my recent experiences with a shipment of goods I had to make into the next state. And for once I have some good things to say!

Ok, I’m mightily impressed by the transport company that handled the deal because it all went smoothly from start to finish and when I get that kind of service without getting the big sell I’m a very happy and not so grumpy old guy!

I was searching around for some information on the transport business online first of all when I came across this site that had some pretty good information on freight forwarders. Not that it put me in touch with the local transport company that did the job for me. I already had that local outfit, penciled in but it was just good to reassure myself I was on the right track.

Now because I’m not about to go revealing where I live to all the creepy stalkers that are out there in cyberspace, that local company have to remain nameless. But what I will say is that the men in the truck arrived promptly at 10 am when they said they would. They had my package of office furniture loaded in record time and with no fuss and when I phoned the other end to see if the goods had arrived in one piece, my colleague was very happy to report that the truck arrived when they said they would.

Best part was the guys had all the furniture off the truck and set up in the new office with slick efficiency you only see in the movies with not a scratch on anything.

The purpose of this post then I guess is to reassure anyone considering a similar transfer of goods that you should check out your local guys first before phoning a big national outfit cause they might just surprise you!
